Mosquitoes and human beings have a complex relationship. Mosquitoes are capable of transmitting life threatening diseases to humans and mosquitos needs human blood meal for multiplying.
Mosquitoes are known vectors for various deadly diseases that can affect humans. They can transmit diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, Zika virus, yellow fever, and West Nile virus, among others. These diseases can have significant health impacts and, in some cases, can be life-threatening.
Disease transmission
Female mosquitoes require blood meals to obtain the necessary nutrients for egg development. They are attracted to the carbon dioxide, body heat, and certain chemicals produced by humans. When they bite, they inject saliva into the skin, which contains anticoagulants that prevent blood clotting and facilitate blood flow. If the mosquito is infected with a disease-causing agent, it can be transmitted to the human during the feeding process.
Feeding behavior
Mosquito-borne diseases affect millions of people worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. Malaria alone is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths each year across the world. New species of mosquito are emerging and leading to deadly Zyca, Dengue,Chikungunya
